Yukio Ozaki

Artist Bio

Yukio Ozaki is an award-winning artist who was born in Tokyo, Japan. He received a BA in English literature from Gakushin University and a BFA and MFA from the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa. Yukio has done many art installations throughout Hawai‘i for the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts.

 

Artist Statement

My principle medium is clay, but I also work with wood and occasionally with stone. I enjoy multi-media also. I don’t stay with one type of design or working style for any length of time. And in the recent years, I am focusing on finding elements that can only be found beyond standard working methods.
