Artist Statement
I am fascinated by the juxtaposition of manmade and natural found elements; the discarded or mundane becoming precious and rarified. I am hopeful that the combination of these elements develops a transformative alchemy that brings attention to self-destructive tendencies exposing flashpoints in our collective nature. Through Flashpoint I explore the beauty of planet’s vanishing natural landscapes; investigating its potential future.
